Bird Walk

Mark your calendars with the following dates for this season’s bird walks. Most trips end by noon and do not require much walking. Remember to bring your binoculars, scopes, insect repellent, rain gear, snacks and water.

September 9 - Carteret County - East Shackleford Banks. Depart from Harkers Island, NC
October 7 - Martin Marietta Park, New Bern, NC
November 4 - Neuseway Nature Park, Kinston, NC
November 15-16 - Pea Island NWR, Nags Head,NC
December 2 - Pamlico County, Oriental, NC
January 11 - Goldsboro Wastewater Treatment Plant
February 3 - Lake Mattamuskeet/Pungo NWRs
March 2 - Ft. Macon State Park - Atlantic Beach, NC - POSTPONED.
April 6 - Croatan NF locations
May 4 - Goose Creek State Park, Beaufort County
June 1 - North River Wetland Preserve

Carpools can be arranged when we meet up. The planned destination may be changed at the last minute if a special sighting or different trip gives us a better opportunity for birding. Information will be updated with each newsletter.
